HISTORY
ͽ Kirsty was born in London into a happy family. She was the younger sister of two brothers and it remained that way until the eldest –Daniel died in an automotive accident when he was 16. Kirsty was 10 at the time and her brother, Adam was 14. Her family was shaken by the loss of Daniel and her parent’s marriage became shaky and unsettled. They broke up for six months and then got back together and had another daughter –Anna. The new addition to the family fixed Kirsty’s parent’s marriage as the baby took their mind off their dead son.
ͽ Kirsty remained in London throughout her childhood and the start of her teenage years. At 15, she began developing signs connected to Anorexia Nervosa. No one at the time noticed as Kirsty had had a slim figure for all of her life but gradually her friends began noticing the weight obsession and her distorted views about her body. Obviously with an anorexic mind, the comments and help her friends offered washed over Kirsty without another thought. Her parents still remained blissfully unaware of their daughter’s developing condition even when they decided to up heave their whole life and move to Ireland to follow a job.
ͽ At 17, Kirsty found herself moving into a boring house in the none too exciting Wardenstown with the rest of her family minus Adam who remained in London with his girlfriend. It was a couple of months after moving into the town that Kirsty’s parents realised that she had made no new friends, in fact she hadn’t mentioned meeting anyone. They became worried and eventually came to realise how thin and sick she was. In panic Kirsty was rushed to a Doctor where a diagnose was made and medication took place almost immediately. In attempt to help her make friends, her mother ordered her daughter to go down to the Warehouse a couple of nights a week.
